Melissa is a practising data protection and privacy barrister representing and advising individuals, companies and non-governmental organisations. Melissa regularly advises on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, the European Convention on Human Rights, defamation and privacy claims. Certified as an Information Privacy Professional in European Data Law (CIPP/E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Melissa also advises in a policy context for international organisations in addition to contentious practice.
