Sue Ioannou

I am the current Chair and Head of Training for the Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW). I have been running course for them for 19 years.

After school I started work at the Ministry of Justice (then the Lord Chancellor’s Department) and initially worked in the Royal Courts of Justice. After various promotions I found myself in the Principal Probate Registry in Somerset House as manager of the personal application department. After a few years I was promoted to Probate Manager and then moved to be the Director of Training for the Family and Probate service of E&W.

Whilst working in the probate service I developed my love of Wills and then started to study for the IPW qualifications. Shortly after I was asked to review and revamp their training and have been the author of their text books and course since 2002. I started my own practice and have been running it for 24 years. I am a full member of STEP having qualified in 2013.

I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute having achieved a Masters in Strategic Management in 2004.

I am responsible for setting up the HMRC Probate and IHT Helpline when I was working in the Probate Service.
