This presentation is the 6th in what will be a monthly presentation examining important documents that Colin has been reading in a given month – Colin shall choose documents of relevance and importance to anyone involved in the area of criminal law – each presentation will last for 30 minutes and will give you the ‘distilled essence’ of the documents considered – all of the actual documents will also be available for you to read at your leisure as part of the presentation material provided.

This presentation will cover 12 documents in total – here are just 3 examples of the things you will learn:
1 – The updated amended Crown Court Fee Guidance document – April 2023 – in particular the payments for advocates when dealing with pre-recorded cross-examination/re-examination hearings – February 2023 and beyond
2 – The very latest Criminal Practice Directions just published by the Lord Chief Justice – these Directions, as you know, supplement and add to the Criminal Procedure Rules 2020 (as amended)
3 – The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme which has been put on a statutory footing as a result of the most recent Statutory Instrument concerning the Domestic Abuse Act 2021
