The aim of the webinar is to bring you fully up to date with all the changes coming your way with new police station work on after 6th December and for new Court work where the determination has been made that the person qualifies for legal aid on or after 6th December.

Statutory Instrument 2024 No. 1163 has now been published – it is The Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) Regulations 2024. It deals with increases for Lower Crime Work i.e. Police Station work and Youth Court work.
They have introduced the concept of a basic threshold fee for all police stations – London and non-London – it’s just that the basic fee for London is higher than for non-London.
They have also introduced the concept of police Station attendance travel fee when attending Destination Police Stations.
The fees for Youth Court work are considerably enhanced – one of the fees is increased by almost 300%
There is an additional bolt-on fee when dealing with the more serious cases in the Youth Court where the claim is made on a CRM 7
