In addition, it will focus in particular on GDPR in the workplace.
What will this GDPR in the workplace training course offer you?
What is personal data?
Any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual (“data subject”). This information can be in any form, e.g. letter, email, photograph, audio recording, CCTV footage or anything else. Some examples of these are names, address, telephone number, hobbies, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, religion and language.
What is the difference between a data controller and processor?
This course will help you understand the critical differences between the two.
Data Controller is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body, which alone or jointly, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. Data controllers have primary responsibility for ensuring that data processing is carried out in accordance with the GDPR. Data Processors are a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the data controller.
Learning objectives:
A basic, but comprehensive, understanding of all the terminology and law governing the process of personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as the Data Protection Act 2018.
