This is an updated practical session that will provide an grounding in the law relating to the removal of a personal representative. It will examine the relevant legislation, provide a view on the key case law on the removal of a personal representative in the professional capacity after recent case law developments. It covers the guidance provided by the SRA and Law Society and will also offer practical suggestions on practice management for the Private Client department to ensure that the chances of being asked to renounced are reduced and what to do if you are asked to renounce by the deceased’s family.
