Ask a Question

Whilst most practitioners focus on the essentials of probate work, such as inheritance tax and how to administer the estate, unfortunately contentious cases are on the rise and it is more commonplace to have issues during the administration. Not only this, but you will no doubt at some point in your career come across many other administration issues that can arise. These can range from various matters, such as:-

  1. Validity of a Will
  2. Capacity of an Executor
  3. Loss of a Will
  4. Intestacy
  5. Caveats stopping your Grant of Probate

Learning objectives:

This session will run through these more problematic areas and discuss with you the processes, and options available to you. You will learn:-

  1. Practical procedures to obtain a Last Will and Testament
  2. How to prove a Copy Will
  3. What to do if an Executor loses capacity
  4. What to do on an intestacy
  5. How to warn off a caveat, or make an appearance or summons
