This 30-minute webinar will deal with important police station issues. Consideration will be given to the current position as regards pre-charge bail – prepared statements read out during the course of the interview – the evidential value of the interview where the prosecution is asking for adverse inferences at trial – samples, both intimate and non-intimate – Schedule 2A of PACE and the amendments to it – positions of trust when advising clients on sexual offences and the very latest addition to the offence of voyeurism, breastfeeding.

Learning Objectives:

  • The current position on pre-charge bail from the 1st attendance at the police station to the possible extension by a Magistrate.
  • The position of trust relationship with those who coach, teach, train, supervise or instruct individuals on a regular basis in a sport or religion.
  • The relatively new offence of voyeurism by operating equipment or recording images of people breastfeeding.
