Over the last 12 months, there has been a noticeable reduction in the number of Statutory Demands served because of the restrictions imposed by the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act 2020 (CIGA).
Said restrictions are (we believe) soon to be lifted and so it is likely that legal advisors will have clients on the receiving end of these documents, and also wanting to issue them.
The documents themselves are reasonably straight-forward to complete, however, mistakes or errors can prove fatal, (and costly!) and so it is vital that legal practitioners know how to complete, serve and issue these documents correctly and swiftly.
In this session, we will look at the steps required to ensure correct completion and proper service of Statutory Demands.
The session will involve helpful Hints & Tips, practical steps, and advice on how to avoid mistakes when completing, serving and filing your paperwork.
